Chief Executive Officer
Graham started his career in the financial derivatives industry where he remained until both he and Lorenzo Naldini decided to go into business together. Their first business was IFX Group Plc, an online foreign exchange trading provider founded in 1995 which had in excess of 200 members of staff within its first three years. IFX Group Plc was a top five global market participant, which was successfully floated on the London Stock Exchange.
Their second business was ODL Group Limited, an international foreign exchange and commodity trading firm with offices in London, Chicago, Tokyo and Sydney. Graham and Lorenzo acquired this company when it was a small stockbroker with 27 members of staff and built it into a global team with over 200 members of staff.
In 2011, Graham and Lorenzo spearheaded a merger with FXCM Inc. to create the largest retail foreign exchange broker in the world which enabled it successfully to float on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE:FXCM). In 2010, Graham became Executive Chairman and a significant shareholder of Prestige Asset Management and was responsible for creating the firm’s flagship agricultural debt fund which was successfully launched in the height of the credit crisis. The fund lent over £150 million to farmers in the UK who required finance to purchase agricultural machinery. Graham founded the Group in 2013 and he is the Chief Executive Officer of Wellesley & Co Limited.
Andrew began working within the derivatives trading industry as an investment adviser and sales manager. In 2008, he joined Graham and Lorenzo at ODL Group Limited where he was the Sales and Marketing Director, specialising in the firm’s promotion of retail trading services on a global scale. Post-merger with FXCM Inc in 2011, Andrew played a key role in ensuring the integration between both firms was effective and was promoted to Senior Vice-President for FXCM Europe. Whilst at FXCM, Andrew managed their trading relationship with Barclays Stockbrokers which was branded Barclays Margin FX and he also led the firm’s strategy in the Turkish foreign exchange markets.
Group Chief Financial Officer
Alasdair began his career first at Mars and then at Centrica. He joined Lloyds TSB in early 2006, initially as the finance director of the insurance division before moving to a general management position, still in Insurance.
He then transferred into retail banking where he was finance director, firstly of mortgages and then all retail products, through the financial crisis and the HBOS integration. He then joined BGL Group (owners of CompareTheMarket amongst other businesses) to take up his first CFO position and to enjoy a more entrepreneurial challenge. The move to Wellesley continues that theme.
